The Individual Development Plan (IDP) is an individually tailored action plan that describes goals and activities for the employee's development. All Department of Defense (DoD) employees are required to complete an IDP. Need help getting started? The Norfolk Naval Shipyard Workforce Development Team are here to help. This training goes into detail how to develop an IDP and summarize career goals and objectives.
