After decades of fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan, Special Operation Soldiers are getting back to their roots of enabling conventional Army units in large scale combat operations. Soldier’s from 3/7th Special Forces conducted a two week training exercise during their time at the Joint Readiness Training Center in Fort Polk, LA. They worked with 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division Air Assault, enabling them through small unit tactics. These tactics included intel collection on enemy forces in denied environments, precision strikes on key targets and through harassment and disruption of enemy objectives.
