AFRL Century Series: Thrust
Air Force Research Laboratory
Aug. 17, 2017 | 6:03
Thrust is the force that overcomes friction, or drag, on air and space craft allowing them to move forward through the skies and upwards into space. From early propellers and superchargers to turbojet engines and liquid-fueled/solid-fueled rockets, AFRL and its predecessor labs have been at the forefront of research and development of technologies the Air Force needs to go higher and faster into the skies and beyond.
