Air Defense in a Ruck Sack
2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division
June 23, 2013 | 2:22
SSG Kelvin Maldonado, CW2 Demestrius Cuttino and the rest of the 2nd Bridgade Aviation Element are bettering the Airborne community by doing more with less when they found out how to convert and fit an Air Defense System into a ruck sack.
The Forward Air Defense System and Sentinal Radar System are too heavy and sensitive to send out of a plane on a parachute so the 2nd Brigade Combat Team Aviation Element converted the system to make it mobile and jumped it into a field training exercise. Other Airborne units are now training on the system. Available in high definition.
