U.S. Marines and guests of Marine Wing Support Squadron 171, Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, participate in a change of command ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, Nov. 13, 2025. During the ceremony, Lt. Col. Daniel V. Jernigan relinquished command of MWSS-171 to Lt Col. Gabriel D. Sanchez after Jernigan’s two years of service as MWSS-171’s commanding officer.
