Governor of Massachusetts, Deval has authorized up to 1,000 Massachusetts National Guardsmen to support tornado recovery efforts. Tornadoes severely damaged homes and structures on Wednesday in the western part of the state. Guardsmen are conducting welfare checks, clearing roads and providing traffic control.
