SPC James Story of 18th Fires Brigade, 3rd Battalion, 321st Field Artillery, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, was awarded the Soldier's Medal during a ceremony at Bagram Army Airfield, Afghanistan, for heroic actions taken during a fire rescue in the spring of 2010. The Soldier's Medal is the one of the highest non-combat distinctions a soldier can receive while serving in the Army. Produced by Sgt. 1st Class Stephanie Widemond.
