1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) held semi-annual Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear defense training at Dugway Proving Grounds, Utah, February 5, 2019.
The purpose of the training was to validate Special Operation’s Chemical Detachment Alphas (CDAs) in Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs). The validation certifies each team to deploy in support of Special Forces Operational Detachment Alphas (ODAs). CDA Teams from 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th SFG(A) and a Chemical Reconnaissance Team (CRT) from 110 Chemical Battalion participated in the training event. (U.S. Army Video by Staff Sgt.
