EPA Chemical Screening Lab Footage
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
Aug. 1, 2018 | 2:31
EPA toxicologists at the chemical screening laboratory look at thousands of chemicals for prioritization under the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act, chemicals found at superfund sites, and chemicals accidentally spilled near communities. The screening processes give decision makers fast, accurate information about chemicals we otherwise know very little about, so they can make timely decisions that protect the public and the environment.
