Recruits from Alpha Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, U.S. Marine Corps, participated in a body sparring event on Oct. 2, 2024, at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California. As part of the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, recruits trained in self-defense techniques while integrating weapons into the drills. Through these exercises, such as body sparring and pugil sticks, recruits honed their combat skills, strengthening their warrior spirit and building camaraderie.
