Brig. Gen. John M. Jansen, the deputy commanding general of III Marine Expeditionary Force, speaks on the importance of having the F-35B Lightning II in the Marine Corps. The F-35B, the world’s first supersonic short-take-off, vertical-landing aircraft, landed in the Pacific Jan. 18, 2017, launching the Marine Corps into a new era of expeditionary aviation.
