Oct. 5, 2020 | 2:09
Are you a surviving spouse eligible for both the Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) annuity and the Dependency Indemnity Compensation (DIC)? If so, you are seeing a reduction in your SBP annuity by the DIC. This reduction or offset is being phased out and you may see changes in your SBP annuity starting February 1, 2021. Watch this video from the U.S. Department of Defense Office of Financial Readiness to find out more.
