RAQQAH MAIN WATER STATION
Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve
May 12, 2018 | 3:04
Abdo Abdal Quader, regional manager for the Raqqah Main Water Station, gives a tour to the U.S. Department of State Syria Transition Assistance Response Team in southern Raqqah, Syria, May 12, 2018. The water station was inoperable eight months ago, butnow has 37 of the original 40 pumps working and providing water to 180,000 people in and around Raqqah city. Water is collected, treated and pumped underground in pipes across the river, providing approximately 70 percent of Raqqah city with access to water. The Raqqah Civil Council works with the Coalition to restore critical infrastructure throughout the city and surrounding areas as the community returns to normalcy. (U.S. Army b-roll by Sgt.
