The United States Navy will commission USS Paul Ignatius (DDG117) Saturday, July 27, 2019, at 1000 in Port Everglades, Florida. DDG117 is named for Paul Ignatius, who served as Secretary Of the Navy under president Lyndon Johnson. Paul Ignatius is the second of eight planned flight IIa “technology insertion” ships.
