BANGOR, Wash. (May 28, 2019) Rear Adm. Douglas Perry, commander, Submarine Group Nine, discusses the Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Pittsburgh (SSN 720) as the boat transits to Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton. Perry’s first boat was the Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is moving to Bremerton, Wash., from Groton, Conn., to commence its inactivation process and eventual decommissioning.
