GULFPORT COMBAT READINESS TRAINING CENTER, MS - Aircrew members of the 102nd Rescue Squadron conduct FARP training at John C. Stennis Space Center (CRTC,) Mississippi on November 4th, 2014. FARP, or Forward Area Refueling Point, allows crewmembers to refuel aircraft incapable of aerial refueling or in isolated areas. Exercise Southern Strike 15 (SS15) is a total force, multiservice exercise hosted by the Mississippi National Guard's CRTC. SS15 emphasises air-to-air, air-to-ground and special operations forces training opportunities. These events are integrated into demanding hostile and asymmetric scenarios with actions from specialized ground forces and combat and mobility air forces.
