Funeral for Guardsman

Pinelawn Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y. Family, friends, New York State Troopers and members of 69th Infantry Regiment, the "Fighting 69th," came out to honor U.S. Army Specialist Anthony Mangano. SPC Mangano was killed in an ambush while on a convoy in Afghanistan. SPC Mangano is survived by his wife Tatiana. SPC Mangano, originally from Greenlawn, N.Y, rejoined the Army National Guard last year as part of the 101st Cavalry of the 69th Infantry Regiment. Mangano was 36 when he and three other Army Guardsmen were killed in action. Mangano is the 36th Long Islander who has been killed in Iraq or Afghanistan. (Official USAF Photo by Staff Sgt. David J.
