Family Day 2008

F.S. Gabreski Airport, Westhampton Beach, N.Y. - Technical Sgt. Dennis Byrne, of the 101st Rescue Squadron, Aerial Gunners Section, carries his daughter Ciara, 4 while his wife, Anne, carries their daughter Aina, 2, to their car after a fun-filled Family Day. The 106th Rescue Wing opened its doors to members of the community as well as its own Airmen on July 21, 2008 for Family and Community Appreciation Day. This free event included a live music, food, a classic car show, a Jell-O eating contest, custom t-shirts, popcorn, snow cones and a static display. The event was supported by volunteers from the 106th, various sponsors from the community, the Civil Air Patrol and the Friends of the 106th. (Official USAF photo by Staff Sgt. David J. Murphy)
