Family Day 2008
F.S. Gabreski Airport, Westhampton Beach, N.Y. - Visitors got the opportunity to get up-close and personal with the aircraft they see fly overhead everyday at this static display. The two aircraft on-hand were the HC-130, and HH-60. The 106th Rescue Wing opened its doors to members of the community as well as its own Airmen on July 21, 2008 for Family and Community Appreciation Day. This free event included a live music, food, a classic car show, a Jell-O eating contest, custom t-shirts, popcorn, snow cones and a static display. The event was supported by volunteers from the 106th, various sponsors from the community, the Civil Air Patrol and the Friends of the 106th. (Official USAF photo by Staff Sgt. David J. Murphy)
