Francis S. Gabreski Airport, Westhampton Beach, N.Y. - Children in the Galaxy Camp program perform self aid and buddy care as part of their familiarization with Pararescue Jumpers. On day four of Galaxy Camp, August 21, 2008, children learned about many different aspects of a Pararescue Jumpers job. The children learned about Self Aid and Buddy Care, became familiar with the parachute, learned how to tie different types of knots, used night vision goggles, was able to operate a Jaws of Life, and got the chance to repel.
