WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY – The 106th Rescue Wing celebrated Tech Sergeant Joseph S Napolitano’s recent awarding of the Henry E. Erwin Outstanding Enlisted Aircrew Member of the Year Award with a surprise ceremony during the October UTA drill. Napolitano , an airmen with the 101s Rescue Squadron, was recognized for his outstanding service in a ceremony attended by his fellow squadron members, base commander Col Thomas J Owens II, Command Chief MSgt Diana Manno, and his wife Dusty and children, Jordan and Chloe.

WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY - Senior Airmen Corey Smith, Dwayne Morgan and Dominic Surinaga (identified left to right), all members of the 106th Honor Guard, take part in a memorial in Westhampton Beach to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. During this event, the Honor Guard displayed the colors and presented a folded American flag to Christine Dwyer, the sister of Army Private First Class Joseph Dwyer. PFC Dwyer, who died in 2008, was made famous through a photo taken of him helping take an Iraqi boy to safety.
