Members of the New York Air National Guard's 106th Rescue Wing get presidential recognition from Slovenia for April 24th international rescue mission

The rescue team of the 103rd Rescue Squadron of the 106th Rescue Wing assigned to the New York Air National Guard, are awarded the Slovenian Medal for Merit in the military field by the President Borut Pahor of Slovenia May 21, 2017. The ceremony took place at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Slovenia office to the United Nations, New York for their international rescue mission to render aid to crew members injured in an explosion on board the motor vessel Tamar that began on April 24th.
